Resource Mobilisation Programme at Ningthoupham Village

As a continuing process of Resource Mobilisation programmes undertaken by Manipur Small Farmers' Agri-Business Consortium, for Socio economic Development in Senapati District, Manipur; two days programme was Organised by Cane & Bamboo Workers' Association, Ningthoupham Village, Senapati sponsored by Manipur SFAC. The programme mainly focused on importance of organic farming in the present Agricultural Scenario and cultivation of Passion Fruits as one of the easiest and assured way of generating income of the District with the setting up of the Passion Fruit Processing Plant at Punanamei, Mao. The Seminar also discussed in depth the prospects of making Organic Soap with the available Resources for domestic consumption not only to generate income but also would help in building a chemical free environment. The Seminar inaugurated by Shri. Henry K. Heni IAS, Commissioner (Agriculture/Hort.& SC) Manipur was attended by Resource persons from the Department of Horticulture, and NGOs. About 85 farmers and Entrepreneurs participated in the Seminar.
