As a next step on resource mobilisation in the hill areas of the State the Consortium sponsored a Seminar on Resource Mobilisation in Tamenglong District from 18th-19th Sept., 2003. The Seminar was organised by an NGO, ARDU (Agency for Rural and Development & Upliftment, Tamenglong). Resource person from Central Agricultural University, ICAR, Imphal Centre and from NGOs deliberated on different aspects of resources available in the district.180 Farmers and Entrepreneurs participated in the Seminar. Medicinal & Aromatic Plants and Oranges were found to be the rich natural resources. The consortium during the course of the Seminar has committed to conduct an exclusive programme on exploration and identification of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants (MAPs)  in the District. As for Oranges, the consortium assured  to facilitate getting trained  to at least two local Entrepreneurs from each Orange Village on Juice Extraction Technology to enable them to make the produce low volume and the same was dovetailed with processing Unit namely M/s Paradise Food, Imphal.
