The Manipur Small Farmers' Agri-Business Consortium has sponsored the  Agricultural Development Organisation, Canchipur (ADO), an NGO  manned by only  Graduates and Post Graduate degree holders in Agriculture / Horticulture,  to organize a tow days training programme on Vermiculture and Vermicomposting to the selected farmers and entrepreneurs of the state. Candidates were called by open advertisement through local Dailies. Initially  65 Entrepreneurs/ Farmers participated in the programme out of which 12 are from the Hill Districts of Manipur. Later, the training programmes are being conducted as and when required by a group of candidates not less than five nos. The inaugural function was graced by Shri.L.P Gonmei, IAS Commissioner (GAD/TD and Hills) Government of Manipur  as Chief Guest and Shri.Kirankumar, Director Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Manipur presided the function. Prof.M. Ruhinikumar Singh, Director Research, Central Agricultural University, Imphal also attended the function as Guest of Honour.
