Hosting of Web Site of

Manipur Small Farmers' Agri-Business Consortium

A Web Site of "Manipur Small Farmers’ Agri-Business Consortium" hosted by National Informatics Centre, Manipur has been inaugurated by Shri.K.Ranjit Singh, Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, Manipur on 20th Feb.2004 at 10.30 am in a function held at the Directorate of Agriculture Sanjenthong. The function was presided by Shri. Henry K. Heni, IAS, Commissioner (Agriculture / Hort. & Soil Conservation), Govt. of Manipur. Shri. Kh. Rajen Singh, State Informatics Officer, NIC Manipur Centre also attended the function as Guest of Honour. The address of the Web Site is http:// mansfac.nic.in

The Web Site contains the organizational structure of the Consortium, its Vision and activities so far undertaken on location specific resource Mobilisation for socio-economic development in different districts of Manipur linked with related sites. There are also Sites under construction for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Processed and Primary Food Products and Crafts exclusively for Manipur. This would facilitate exposure of state’s available agricultural commodities in the global markets. The Web Site also aims at providing consultancy services in identification of location specific commercially important crops its production and marketing thereof.
